Four Films, Kuwait’s leading printing house has streamlined its operations and improved cost control by implementing a Sage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. The system was implemented by Al Mulla InfoTech Solutions, part of Bader Al Mulla & Bros Co. W.L.L Engineering Group and a Sage Enterprise Partner.
Four Films is headquartered in Kuwait and has a branch in Lebanon. The company employs 350 staff and has a printing press and warehouse in Kuwait. It expects to open an additional printing press in the next year.
Sage ERP modules used by Four Films are: General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, Inventory Control, Job Costing and Payroll.
David Moujaes, Managing Director, Four Films said, “Sage ERP is an integrated solution that gives us greater control over our costs. Our main activity is job based and Sage allows us to track profitability by job, which is crucial to our business. We have over two thousand customers and good credit control is another important area for our business. Using Sage has brought down the average outstanding payment days which in turn has improved our cash flow.”
“The system was implemented in 45 days in line with our expectations. Top management sponsorship of such a project is important for its success and I drove the project from the start. Equally important was winning the commitment of other business managers to the project which we did by involving them at every stage. Consultants from Al Mulla InfoTech Solutions have excellent product knowledge which also contributed to the project success” said David.
In conclusion, David Moujaes said, “Currently Sage gives us accurate, real time information on the company. The next step is to implement a business intelligence system that helps us to use this information to take better business decisions and look at CRM solutions to further improve our client relations.”
Marc Van der Ven, Managing Director, Sage Accpac Middle East said, ”Four Films is part of a growing number of mid-market companies implementing ERP systems to control costs and boost growth. If used to its full potential, information held in an ERP system can be turned into a powerful business tool to help Managers take more proactive business decisions.”
