Sigma Paints, a joint venture of the fifth largest paint company in the world, the SigmaKalon Group, has implemented Sage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to manage its business in the Saudi Arabia, U.A.E., Oman and Qatar. The new software has helped integrate business processes across offices and improve operational efficiency.
In a deal valued at over 1 million Saudi Riyals, the 55-user system comprising of a total of 20 modules were successfully implemented, in 4 months in Sigma’s Sales & Marketing offices in Dammam, Al Khobar, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha. The project also includes implementing Sage’s manufacturing suite at Sigma’s factories in Dammam and Abu Dhabi.
Jo Paffen, General Manager of Sigma Paints Saudi Arabia and Area Director for SigmaKalon for the Middle East said, “Although SigmaKalon is using SAP in other locations, for the Middle East, we chose Sage ahead of SAP because it best suited our functional requirements. We also wanted a vendor that had a proven track record and strong local presence. TotalFinaElf, our parent company, have recently implemented Sage in Dubai in their Lubricant operation and are extremely happy.”
